Southern Erectors, Inc (SEI), which is the group's namesake, is a design build mechanical contractor specializing in industrial metal fabrication and erection since 1973. Southern Erectors, Inc. does the fabrication and erection for all Southern Environmental and Thermal Systems Group (TSG) projects throughout the United States and internationally.

Southern Environmental has supplied Air Pollution Control (APC) equipment since 1988.  Southern Environmental specializes in fast-track services that allow for short project lengths with minimal outage time for new and rebuilt, dry and wet Electrostatic Precipitators and other APC equipment.

Thermal Systems Group (TSG)  is split into two divisions. The TSG Process Air Division was formed in 1985 and provides custom designs for Paper Machine Room Air & Ventilation Systems including Dryer Hoods, Pocket Ventilation, False Ceiling, Motor Cooling, and Air Make-Up Units as well as miscellaneous steel and metal fabrication. The TSG Scrubber Division provides turn-key air scrubbers to meet today's challenging emission control guidelines.  By forming a strategic, long-term alliance with Clean Gas Systems (Hauppauge, NY), TSG can offer companies a single point of contact for turn-key scrubber applications.  A central focus of the Scrubber Division is coal-fired boilers, which must meet stringent SO₂ emissions standards set by the EPA (Boiler MACT II and BART).
